Initial Courses - Individuals may obtain Continuing Education Credit for attending initial courses of instruction. Contact your local instructor/coordinator about initial courses. Make sure you receive a signed certificate of attendance which includes your name, topic, hours awarded, date, the signature of the course coordinator, the course identification number (CIN) and the name of the institution that provided the training.

State Certification Examination

Regional EMS Councils are coordinating First Responder, EMT B, I and D Examinations. If EMS personnel need Continuing Education hours and would like to attend and Exam for up to 6 hours of CEU, they may contact the Regional Council office. These Exams are offered throughout the year, however Region I and II coordinate most of their exams January - Sept.

"Brain Attack - EMS Action in
Acute Ischemic Stroke"

EMS providers interested in strategies for decreasing time to treatment and improving treatment outcomes for stroke survivors within the community; ANYONE interested in learning more about stroke and reducing their own risk. Learn strategies for improving community response to stroke warning signs, and discuss ways that individuals can identify and modify stroke risk.
