EMS REGIONAL COUNCILS |

The Regional EMS councils have taken over the responsibility of conducting FR and EMT Initial Certification Examinations. These duties are no longer the responsibility of the Board of EMS. Southwest Kansas EMS, Inc.-Region II is conducting these examinations at the site of the class whenever possible. At times it may be more convenient to host an area test site including several classes. Re-test requests will be accommodated also. Instructor/Coordinators and Training Officers II, who are teaching an initial FR or EMT course, need to contact their EMS Regional Councils and let them know when they start a course and when they anticipate needing to test their students. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF TIMELINES THAT MUST BE COMPLIED WITH. They are not difficult, but are requirements of the examination process.
