The American Lung Association
of Kansas has brochures and handouts available for fairs and
programs. They can provide these to EMS services at no cost for
quantities of 50 to 75. Please allow ample time for shipping as
the ALA usually orders publications quarterly and gets frequent
requests for community health fairs and quantities are sometimes
low.
Many different programs are
offered through ALA of Kansas. We have listed some below, just
to name a few. You may find more at The
American Lung Association of Kansas Web Site.
-
Camp
SuperBreathers - Now in its 17th year, Camp
SuperBreathers provides something most asthmatics are
discouraged from expecting -- a real summer camp experience.
-
The
Better Breathers Club - Join us at the Better
Breathers Club, a support group and learning opportunity for
respiratory patients.
-
Tobacco
Is Gross Kit - Schools and others interesting in
telling the story about the dangers of tobacco may borrow a
Tobacco Is Gross Education Kit to use with classes and for
programs.
-
N*O*T
- (Not On Tobacco) is an ALA program that offers teen
smokers separate male and female cessation curriculum.
